The first stepping stone I learn with in advertising, TVC (Honda CR-V 2007) my office made, hit the weekly bible of advertising industry - Campaign Brief Asia.

This is the page that I’m talking about.

And I still have miles miles miles away to travel from this step I stand.

This TVC talks about philosophy of “Four Seasons” gracefully. See it.
To be honest, I don’t understand why they put it there to Campaign Brief Asia thing. This TVC honestly doesn’t talk about creativity at all, what really helps is that snow effect in Jakarta, yeah, but anyway, it still has a little idea behind it.
It’s like a baby that they born and I also take care of it, but really, what I really want is –
To give birth my own baby.

Irwan introduced me to this guru of crazily brilliant ideas of advertising: Tonic Dubai.
Really, crazy agency.

Last Friday I almost got home (serious headache, broke and tired), but changed my mind and went here. And ended up, enjoying it.

Djarum Black Urban Art Teaser Exhibition.
Yeay.
The designs are visually entertaining. Some made me smile, some even made me laugh, especially the toys. Great selections.
The plus-point is they care about tiny details, like using newspaper scraps and scattered them around the toys, or placing the artworks until it almost can be considered as installation art, or gathering some look-a-like artworks and made a collage out of them. It’s just right.

The room’s kinda sweaty and made you feel like you’re in sauna, hahah, but it’s night time anyway so I can always go out and have a fresh air. After that we went next door and had a nice dimsum. Nyum.

Smart thing Djarum Black, for seeing an opportunity and hype in its market targets, and making a potential program from this: the design contest.
Yup, these days, who doesn’t love design, huh? It’s like almost every school and college kid that I know from 1998 til now really seek and appreciate designs.

Smooth approach.

Oh oh… I looove this one the mooost.
To you who design this, kudos. Captivating concept.

Thamrin St. at morning. Strangely the view from my desk is more or less the same.
